Your Team
You would join a multidisciplinary team and be the first Web Developer of our brand new SEO Team. You would work closely with Content & SEO Managers while being part of the Tech team. We are looking for someone who's passionate and knowledgeable of all technical SEO aspects in web development and excellent WordPress skills.Our responsibility is to maximize organic traffic and conversions and to do so we need to do things like: ensure our sites are well structured and fast, ensure that our content is the best meeting users' intent and scale up our authority, among other things.

Bobby McKinnon (Head of Technology) is looking for a highly motivated SEO Web developer to join our Tech team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining WordPress websites.
- Developing WordPress plugins and handling the site hosting.
- Improving the performance of SEO websites: page speed (maybe even AMP), loading speed, server infrastructure, etc.
- Conducting website performance test.
Requirements
- Very good knowledge of all technical SEO aspects: XML sitemap, site architecture, structured data, Hreflang, Canonical tags, 301 redirects, robots.txt, etc..
- Excellent in WordPress (and generally familiar with CMS systems): The candidate has already built customized WordPress themes and/or WP plugins and is able to transfer a site from another CMS system into WordPress
- The candidate should also be able to integrate the new SEO assets into our existing Compado infrastructure, incl. links, ranking table, servers, etc.
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP
- Experience in UX/UI and conversion rate improvement
